Connect / Supplier qualification

Find the fit. Verify the capability.

ODM selection and supplier qualification in Asia, built around your product requirements, engineering needs, commercial constraints and evidence.

A promising introduction is the start of qualification.

The right partner needs more than a relevant product photograph. We connect your requirements with the people, processes and commercial assumptions behind a supplier proposal. Our 150+ supplier network creates a starting point for discovery; suitability is assessed for each project against its specific requirements.

The work

Scope it clearly.
Keep it connected.

Activities and deliverables are selected for the engagement. Specialist engineering, testing and compliance responsibilities are agreed explicitly.

  1. Technical fit

Map product architecture, critical processes and unresolved engineering work to actual supplier resources. Distinguish in-house work from subcontracted capabilities.

  2. Evidence and verification

Request relevant work examples, engineering responsibilities and process records. Where in scope, coordinate interviews, sample reviews or on-site assessment; record what was verified and what remains unconfirmed.

  3. Quality and operations

Review how requirements become inspection plans, changes are approved and non-conforming material is handled. Name the people responsible for engineering, quality and communication.

  4. Commercial alignment

Compare prototype and production quantities, NRE, tooling ownership, payment assumptions and capacity planning. Separate quoted facts, estimates and exclusions.

  5. Decision and follow-through

Present a capability comparison, unresolved issues and the next evidence needed. Assign an owner to each action before selecting a partner or committing to a build.

Useful outputs

Something your team can act on.

  • A requirements-based candidate comparison
  • An evidence register with verified and unverified items
  • Documented commercial assumptions and open risks
  • A next-step plan for the selected workstream

Proceed when decision-makers understand the evidence, assumptions and unresolved risks, with clear owners for the next actions.

Before we begin

Bring what you know.

  • Product overview and development stage
  • Target markets and indicative volumes
  • Required engineering or manufacturing support
  • Existing quotes or supplier concerns

Unknowns are useful starting points too. You do not need to share confidential CAD or a full BOM through the initial inquiry form.
